Meet Leah!
Hi everyone! I'd like to thank you for checking out my blog. I hope you will stick around!
I'd like to tell you a little bit about myself. I have a degree in Neuroscience from the University of Texas at Austin and am currently pursuing a PhD in Neuropsychopharmacology from the University of Texas Medical Branch in the Center for Addiction Research.
What does any of this have to do with books? Well, reading is my escape from the high pressures of my everyday life. Being in the research field is very demanding and stressful, but the books I read help keep me sane. Honestly, the authors are my heroes and I don't think I would be able to be where I am without them.
I've been a huge reader my entire life. My father got me a kindle when I was extremely young so that I'd stop begging to go to the bookstore every week. Ha, little did he know I'd end up doing that anyways as an adult!
I am a huge fan of romance books, particularly fantasy romance, but I also enjoy reading mystery thrillers, some crime books, and general fantasy or science fiction. I hope this blog can be a place where I can talk about books I love and authors I adore, but also hear from all of you. Tell me about your favorite books. If you ever need someone for a book discussion, I am here! Book Club anyone?
